The Research and Application of Cemented Carbides Pressure Sintering

In the development of modern cutting tool materials, cemented carbides play a leading role. Moreover, the performance of other cutting tool materials also improves remarkably, the applying field expanded, forming unique advantage and the overall pattern of complementary applying field to each other. The rapid and comprehensive development of cutting tool materials has laid the foundation of high-speed and effective cutting process. 

Cemented Carbides performance keeps improving, with the application field continuously expanding, becoming the main materials of cutting tool and playing an important role in promoting the improvement of cutting efficiency. Firstly, the development of fine particles and superfine particle cemented carbide materials has significantly improved the strength and toughness of cemented carbide materials. Overall cemented carbides cutting tool made of it (especially general tools like drill, end mill, screw tap and etc.) will replace traditional high-speed steel cutting tool, and improve the cutting rate and process rate sharply. Secondly, the research and application of new craft like cemented carbides pressure sintering improve inner quality of cemented carbides. To meet the demands of different procession developed special type,  plastic resist deformation and ductile surface of gradient cemented carbides are developed. As the chemical coating carbide insert brand of substrate material, it improves the cutting performance of cemented carbide blade coating and expanded application field.
